Gas Facility Upgrade Project – Marib

Marib governorate will remain the depth of Yemen’s history, the fort of the republic, and the strong support of the legitimate government until the state is restored and Yemenis ambitions of creating a Federal Yemen are achieved and until the current economic challenges facing the citizens, due to the current political situation, are resolved.

Marib gas facility is one of the tools that helps countering the black market and manufactured crisis of domestic gas. It also ensures emergency readiness across governorates. The upgrade, expansion, and maintenance process completed is to be followed by other stages that involve services development, meeting the requirements of replacing damaged cylinders with new cylinders and leaking valves with new high-quality valves, and attach importance to the top consumers.

The upgrade and maintenance process was carried out by buying and installing high-quality equipment with following the best procedures. Multiple tests were also applied to ensure equipment quality, practices safety, and readiness for facility’s operationalization.

The facility, which used to produce 600 cylinders prior the upgrade, is now able to produce 1000 cylinders per hour.

The cylinders’ conveyor belts and the tank farm were also upgraded at a cost of $250,000.

The engineers and the company’s technicians performed most of the maintenance, installations, and tests. Safer company was called to maintain and test LPG tanks.
